This website is intended to provide general information about our home care service, our values, our careers, and ways to contact us.

2. Purpose of this website

The content on this website is for general information only. It is designed to help visitors understand our service and get in touch with us. It is not intended to provide medical advice, clinical advice, legal advice, or emergency support.

Nothing on this website should be treated as a guarantee that services will be available to any particular person, in any particular area, or at any particular time.

3. No care contract is created through the website

Use of this website, or sending us an enquiry through it, does not create a contract for care services. Any care package is subject to our normal assessment, planning, acceptance, and agreement process.

Where care is offered, this will only happen after we have considered whether the person’s needs fall within our registered scope, whether those needs can be met safely, and whether a suitable care arrangement can be agreed. Our service is currently described as a Jersey Home Care service for adults aged 18 and over, focused on personal care and personal support, with non-nursing care only.

4. Scope of information

We aim to keep this website accurate, helpful, and up to date. However, the information on the website may change from time to time and may not always reflect the most recent position in every respect.

We may update, revise, remove, or amend website content at any time without notice. While we take reasonable care over what we publish, we do not guarantee that every page will always be complete, current, or free from error.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use this website lawfully and respectfully. You must not use the website:

  • in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation
  • to transmit or upload harmful code, malware, or malicious material
  • to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its hosting environment, or any connected systems
  • to copy, scrape, harvest, or misuse website content or contact information for spam or unlawful purposes
  • to interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the website
  • to submit false, misleading, or abusive enquiries

We reserve the right to restrict or block access where misuse is suspected.

6. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on this website, including text, wording, layout, branding, graphics, logos, icons, and design elements, belongs to Compassionate Healthcare Jersey or is used under licence or permission.

You may view, download, or print content from this website for your own personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, reproduce, republish, adapt, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of this website for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

7. Enquiries, referrals, and recruitment

If you contact us through this website, you agree that the information you provide is accurate and, where relevant, that you have authority to provide it.

Where you submit an enquiry about care for another person, you should only share information that is appropriate and lawful to share. Where you submit a job application or careers enquiry, you should ensure that the information you provide is true, accurate, and not misleading.

We may decide, at our discretion, whether and how to respond to enquiries, referrals, or applications.

8. No emergency service

This website and its contact forms are not an emergency service. You must not rely on the website or email contact details for urgent medical, safeguarding, or emergency assistance.

If there is an immediate risk to health, safety, or wellbeing, you should contact the appropriate emergency or urgent support service without delay.

9. Third-party links

This website may include links to external websites or third-party services for convenience or information. We do not control those third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, security, or privacy practices.

A link to another website does not mean that we endorse it or accept responsibility for it.

10. Website availability

We do not guarantee that this website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free from bugs or harmful components. Access to the website may be suspended, restricted, withdrawn, or interrupted at any time for operational, technical, security, or maintenance reasons.

You are responsible for using your own appropriate virus protection and device security.

11. Privacy and personal information

Any personal information collected through this website will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable Jersey data protection requirements.

You should not send highly sensitive or unnecessary confidential information through website forms unless and until we have asked for it and suitable arrangements are in place.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Compassionate Healthcare Jersey will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or inconvenience arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, this website.

This includes, without limitation:

  • loss caused by reliance on website content
  • loss resulting from website downtime or technical interruption
  • loss caused by viruses, malware, or security issues beyond our reasonable control
  • indirect or consequential loss
  • loss of business, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, or data

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful.

13. Regulatory and service information

This website should be read as general public information about our service. It does not replace the documents, assessments, risk reviews, care planning, policies, and contractual arrangements that apply where services are actually being delivered.

Our website wording is intended to reflect our service as a Jersey home care provider, but regulated care is ultimately delivered in line with the applicable care law, Jersey Care Commission standards, assessment findings, and the agreed care arrangements for the individual person.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any revised version will take effect when it is published on this website. You should check this page periodically to ensure you remain happy with the current terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Bailiwick of Jersey.

Any dispute arising from or connected with these terms or the use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jersey.
